Abstract
When biology teachers use the local environment to teach curriculum areas, for instance in school gardens, itÂ’s a highly demanding situation. Our aim is to measure if educational treatments are effective to develop the competences of biology pre-service teachers for outdoor teaching. Therefore, we extended the model of pedagogical content knowledge (PCK) by adding the component outdoor teaching and Education for Sustainable Development (ESD).
